Episode 8 is badass.
Some absolutely awesome moments in this movie. Really funny in places too. Love it.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.
Huge disparity between critic reviews and user reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. A high score on IMBD but the movie is getting savaged on the written user reviews.
I will watch again at some point but this maybe one of the worst Star Wars movies to date and I need to put some respect back on George Lucas.
Enjoyed Star Wars. Didn’t think it was as good as Force Awakens but still decent.
Think it’s clear they’re following a very similar template to the original trilogy in terms of the story.
I thought it was fuckin wonderful. Was worried about getting bored at some point with the long run time. But other than the overly long and patently obvious outcome of the Skellig Island scenes, it was exciting throughout.

Oh yes. Forgot about puppet Yoda. That made me happy.

Also, whilst I had a bit of a moan about the Skellig Island storyline length, Mark Hamill was outstanding.
