Wenger is asked, "Is your name Arsene Wenger?" - he truthfully answers yes because what's the point trying to lie about it? As with the list of penalty takers, it would be stupid and pointless to lie about something so trivial. Then if you ask him, "Is Stan Kroenke a heinous, rotten, shitbag **** who is destroying the club and football in general with his ****ish, greedy, fucked-up anti-football giant sucking leech routine?", Wenger may say no, Stan is a good guy. I wonder why? Maybe for the same reason as he wouldn't call Walcott a greedy **** right in the middle of a contract negotiation. There's a danger calling Walcott an avaricious, selfish, ungrateful, disloyal piece of overrated shit would sour the negotiations somewhat. So he probably wouldn't do that. Can you see the subtle difference between the trivial and the complex?

You have slightly changed your position on this, NQ. I remember you once holding Wenger and the Board responsible. Surely you can see that his tactics aren't helping matters? As for off the pitch stuff, it's not as if he's not involved. Example, RVP said he sat and had a meeting with both Wenger and Gazidis and wasn't happy with what either of them said about the future of the club. He's just as bad as the Gazidis, PHW and co.

I haven't changed, I still think Wenger is responsible for where we are. 4th place when we could have been higher on several occasions. But 4th nonetheless when those bastards in the boardroom have done everything to sink us, albeit as a probably unintentional byproduct of their greed. We'll be 4th place this season too, by whatever miracle or fluke can be conjured up again.

It would be uuterly naïve of anyone to actually believe that Wenger is any less powerful than any Board member (interviewed and ok'd the hiring of his boss, Gazidis for example) or club exec, or that he's any less culpable for the shit we've become.
