tbf can't say i knew who he was back then but in hindsight seems like a dumb move, but we should have got him when he was at porto though.

Oh well whats done is done.

No its Frimpong who he feels can cover and id say Jack too. We need a striker more then a midfilder andways.

Cleverly done this year. Get some signings in early, make it look like things have changed, then sell the key players out from under the team. More profits, another con job, raise the prices again maybe, get more corporate types in and fuck the fans out of it. Ideally go for an empty stadium but with every ticket sold. Will be pretty cheap maintaining an empty stadium. More lovely profits. You can't say these boys don't know how to turn a trick.

Time is running out for clubs to finalise deals but Tottenham are understood to have completed the signing of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris from Lyon. We’ll have more on this story shortly.

Phil McNulty, BBC Sport Chief Football Writer

"I understand that Everton have had a look at Michael Essien but at this stage his wages are still prohibitive. That would still be an expensive deal so at this stage, with an hour and a half to go, that's not happening."
