Clough's Forest tops the lot, a while back now but Leicester will have to win the CL and then retain it to match Clough's achievement.

If/when Leicester win it, it will definitely be the greatest achievement in my time following the sport. You would have been sent to the looney bin if you said this was possible.
In terms of quality I'm not sure they can really be compared to us and the great United teams. If they do it again next season though then by all means they should be mentioned in the same breath.
What Clough did back in the day was incredible, but it was an era where clubs' performance could vary far more from season to season than now, an era where every single thing about the way football is set up is designed to keep the top clubs distinct from 'the rest'. They were dead and buried with about 10 games to go last season and then went on a run to keep them up, that was impressive enough but to continue that run for an entire following season and win the league...it just shouldn't be possible in today's game. Absolutely amazing.

I feel they will be found out to an extent next season but they won't care.
It won't be repeated but good for them. It's definitely better than the alternative.

They could have 50 years of absolute shit now and it still wouldn't matter
Take a bow. I'll always be pissed off at our bottlers managed by WUMger but it is what it is.
I think people are making the mistake of believing it's still all about the oil clubs dominating, and no other club can come close.
The TV revenue is available to all prem clubs now, and that money gets you a lot more bang for your buck. the playing field is levelling off a bit, because despite all the oil cash, you can't buy all of the players, and you have to have a good manager, who picks the right blend of players, can organise them, and motivate them.
Leicester are rightly being lauded, but the same can be said of West Ham, and dare I say it, Sp*rs.
We're a prime example, that you can have a load of decent players, but if you can't manage them properly (organise them/motivate them/train them/get them playing as a team in their best positions etc etc etc etc etc), you ain't winning the title........and this is where all of the others have failed too. Pellegrini, Mourinho....
We laugh at Van Gaal, but we're in the same sodding boat with a couple of better players.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.
Yep, it's once in a generation for them. They only have 3 League Cups to show for their entire history, it's truly one of the great stories of the game, especially as it's come in an era where it was seen as impossible for a club outside the usual 6 or 7 suspects to get a look in.
Lets just hope they finish the job now. Trip to United for them next.![]()
I'm just too pissed off with our lot to have any enjoyment in the ")and) leicester fairytale"
