I say test in quotation marks, because a Test match is 5 days…this is 4 days (County Cricket matches are 4 days, but they aren’t considered test matches)

Everything being done to dilute the game because we live in a society of short attention spans and instant gratification

My daughter is dating the captain of some county club, can't ever fucking remember because I hate cricket. But I'm forced to love it when they come around for dinner. Oh, tell me again how you stood around for 3 days and achieved a glorious triumph. It's the stupidest fucking sport ever - but I also appreciate what my uncle used to say, who was so into it. I also liked playing rounders at school. Mainly because the girls wore short skirts. So I would always volunteer for first base so I could be on the ground looking up when they tried to slide home. Tactics, dedication.
