It's a shame to see a great movie abused in that way

It is quite funny seeing Trump wandering around claiming he won a debate which he clearly lost, claiming the polls show he won when they clearly don't.
I'm sure there are polls of MAGA cult members which do believe he won, but those people are too far gone to be taken seriously.
He behaves like a child who just lost a race and goes around saying "I won! I won! I definitely won!". It's a bit sad really, especially considering there's still a decent chance he could be president again.
In his head he probably does believe he won, he lies to himself as much as he does to others. And it's somewhat depressing that it won't have moved the dial one bit for millions of people who will vote for him no matter what.
But maybe for people who are still undecided his rambling display compared with Harris' far more assured one - and her ability to get under that wafer thin skin of his - will have given them some pause for thought.

It genuinely amazes me that anyone can have to make their minds up on whether to vote for someone like Trump or, over here, Johnson - basically you're either an arsehole or you're not

In 2019, people were asked to make a choice between Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson (the only time Johnson stood for election nation wide). It was the first election I decided, no I’m not making that fucking choice….because essentially a vote for any non Tory party was a tacit vote for Corbyn as prime minister because the Tories had burnt so many bridges by this stage they were either going to have to be a majority or they were fucked.

This clearly in the south saw people hold their nose and vote for the Tories despite a lot of soft Tories being alienated by Brexit, so as well as Ed Davey’s campaign went…this Lib Dem resurgence in the broker belt and the Home Counties and even some of the western shire counties, were largely middle class ex Tories who probably would have voted Lib Dem in 2019 but had no intention of making Corbyn prime minister (as well as a similar unofficial Labour-lib Dem electoral pact as had been made in 1997)

I see the appeal of Johnson, I don’t like the guy myself as I don’t like entitled liars who think that they can get away with anything they like because of their charisma (and he is charismatic, he can be genuinely amusing when it suits him).

Trump? No I personally can’t see the appeal. As I said to Letters the other day, he’s like a pantomime villain from the WWE. I think a lot of Trump voters (not all, I think there’s a solid core base of people who think he’s the best thing since sliced bread) who know full well he’s a shit but they’ll vote for him for lower taxes, fighting back against the woke stuff (which is a bit daft as the political often doesn’t influence the cultural, and a lot of this stuff is state rather than federal level) and deal with the southern border/immigration.
High grocery prices are another motivating factor, now I don’t think Trump will do much to sort that out…like over here it’s a result of post Covid inflation….but when it’s happened under the party currently in power there is a “kick out the bums” attitude.
If the Republican candidate wasn’t Trump, in my view this election wouldn’t be close. The Republican candidate would be picking out what soft furnishings they want for the Oval Office.

Did you ever give me the cunt's top 10 policies, or is cats the thing now? Anyone who commented on the cats thing should be so ashamed of themselves, you fucking morons. The ONLY question that exists today, do we let more savages into our country or don't we? I don't care how you frame it. But the question, some bongo-bongo-land fuck who wants to come here because he'll get £2K a month nd a free phone, but still want to eat pets and rape white girls. Explain to me what his contribution to society is and why I shouldn't just call him Sammy and yank him by the throat to the deportation boat service. Go on. Tell me why Sammy is a benefit to our society.
