Not for me. Spurs are an afterthought….ive never taken any pleasure from them losing when them getting a result would benefit us. Because I care more about us than them. They aren’t our rivals in any real sense currently ….plus frankly the dislike is bound in their geographic location relative to ours.Quote:

Plus as I’ve said the element of fortune is not just the fortune they’ve had in their own games it’s the fact that we and City have shit the bed (no we haven’t collapsed as spectacularly as City but we’ve dropped 14 points from ten games)

I also hate Chelsea and possibly City more than Spurs. The possibly being that I've never particularly had an issue with them as a club, unlike Chelsea, but I can't abide the media fawning over them and how rarely anyone calls them out on how they've achieved success. Overall I'd rather Spurs had won today but, given that they didn't, I'll take comfort where I can. And where I can is Spurs falling flat on their stupid faces again.

Liverpool last season finished on 82 points and I will be astounded if they top that. Will see how things fall for them in January when they are without Salah…whilst I think ultimately we are not good enough to capitalise…it may be that Chelsea do (although they will be missing Nicholas Jackson)
If I’m honest you seem convinced that I’m just refusing to acknowledge that Liverpool are this great side having an amazing season, because of some debate about Liverpool that I had on here five months ago as if somehow such a thing remotely matters to me.
What’s eating away at me is seeing a Liverpool side that I believe greatly inferior to us occupying the position that we should be in, and would be in (regardless of whether we’d signed a striker or not) if we had a coach better able to utilise the talent at his disposal.
Yes we were unlucky with injuries and suspensions too, but simply put…to be six points behind this Liverpool side having played a game more is to me an unforgivable travesty. The drop down in level between them and City at their relentless is gargantuan.
Whilst it’s not an excuse you haven’t had sides employing the deep block against Liverpool against us…well Forest did and they won.

If they do lose him then that would be a massive blow, I read this morning that he's become the first player in PL history to get in to double digits for both goals and assists before Christmas.
You don't have to think they're a great side, but just dismissing it all as luck is more ludicrous with every passing game. That just feels like stubbornness, the reality is we both underestimated them. I didn't see them as serious contenders, just as I didn't foresee City falling off a cliff - you did better with that prediction but I don't think you could would have thought they'd be in literal relegation form. Yeah there is no AFCON in January, it’s next winter.
Aside from Salah getting injured I’m not really sure what else can stop Liverpool. We will need a repeat of our second half of last season to make it interesting.

You've definitely.underestimated Liverpool but also overestimated the opposition, this season is a welcome change from recent times when Citeh have been odds-on to win but now it's much more open as always every team has their faults
Liverpool have real quality up front in numbers - your dismissal of players like Gakpo is ridiculous - plus they're able to turn defence into attackuch more quickly than us amd Slot has wisely turned down the volume on the heavy metal to create a more sustainable way of playing
Salah yes is crucial and without him it's different but you could say that about a lot of teams - Wood at Forest for example
The only thing I'm annoyed ahout anywhere this season is those disgraceful decisions re Rice and Trossard, also I still think Saliba's was harsh given yellows awarded for very similar (or worse) incidents elsewhere and the fact they changed the original onfield decision.
The Citeh game in particular was a decision the whole football world should be up in arms about, it ruined a very good game apart from anything else

The rest of the attack? Nunez is not what I’d call real quality nor Gakpo (yes I get you rate him, I don’t) . Jota could be if he stayed fit, and Diaz has technical ability but he blows hot and cold. Without Salah they simply would not be where they are now…no where near in fact

I couldn’t understand why Liverpool weren’t conceding many goals given how many chances they were coughing up, but that now seems to have evened itself out with them conceding 10 goals in the last 5 (any other season that wouldn’t be title winning defending but we have Arteta so can’t really punish them)
I haven’t enjoyed this season at all, basically it’s like you’ve been waiting years for a girl you like to dump the dickhead she’s with, only for you to trip up over your own shoelaces when your moment comes and some ugly weird bloke who was considered a lady’s man once but has let himself go, steps up and the girl goes off with him because your nose is planted firmly in the dirt.
