Why will they be without Salah? I spoke another friend about that and he told me it's not the ACON this season, that was last year.
If they do lose him then that would be a massive blow, I read this morning that he's become the first player in PL history to get in to double digits for both goals and assists before Christmas.
You don't have to think they're a great side, but just dismissing it all as luck is more ludicrous with every passing game. That just feels like stubbornness, the reality is we both underestimated them. I didn't see them as serious contenders, just as I didn't foresee City falling off a cliff - you did better with that prediction but I don't think you could would have thought they'd be in literal relegation form. That's something we can all enjoy
"unforgivable travesty" seems like a bit of a Shakespearian overstatement, but I basically agree that we've dropped some stupid points and we should be closer to them. While they have a game in hand I'm still a bit happier with the league table than I was and I don't regard it as an unbridgeable gap. There is a long way to go.
