I think with Sanogo and Ginter we go into the new season as clear favourites for the title. And still nothing spent as we can pay for this guy from the money saved on ditching half the squad. PLUS we can sign someone else down the line from the money we'll be saving when we ditch these two players, provided anyone wants them. This is all very prudent.

Dunno, I'm quite happy with Ginter. Young, German and seems to be quite good. Probably will go on to become a top CB in a year or two the same way Kos has.
As a stand alone transfer it does make sense however in the context of this summer with the lack of signings overall, yes it is frustrating I suppose.

No. Hasn't yet, tbh. He's cost up dearly for most of the time he's been here and was an absolute disaster that no one wanted near the team till he finally put in a decent shift last 10 games of last season. Though I wish for his fine form to continue, it's still too early to say he's worked out well, IMO. Give him at least a few games in the 1st half of the season before making such a conviction.Quote:
