Just feel this stance is a little bit harsh right now considering Odegaard has been one of our better players over the past few years. Wasn’t he voted player of the year in the 2 seasons we challenged for the title?Quote:

No one is obliged to agree with him. I can see it both ways…..I think Rice would make a far better captain but equally the role of Captain isn’t as relevant as it was in Adam’s day. I mainly want to see Odegaard stripped of the captaincy because I don’t want to see him playing at all

He's a great player when he wants to be, but that is separate from is ability as a Captain.
He is not good enough and too cowardly when it matters.
A good Captain knows when to bollock the other players on the pitch and in return they should look to him to step up and give them an extra boost, drive them on when the chips are down.
Odegaard can't and has never done that.
