Essien on loans looking pretty good right now... as opposed to sweet FA.
Yes, £30mill as always. £30mill every year. The money goes on the balance sheet to keep the share price rising so Stan can fuck Alisher hard when he cashes out. In many ways you could say Stan is a heroic figure because Ali is a bit of a thieving, murdering shitbag and deserves it hard up the shitter. Football can't always be about football. Sometime it has to be all about private individuals.
Sky Sports understands that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have both lodged deadline day bids for Clint Dempsey.

All clubs are asked if they'll do business so that the FA can prepare accordingly - Apparently, Arsenal informed the FA no deals will be done.
:violin:
I remember him.Quote:
Malaga have announced that they have completed the signing of Javier Saviola from Benfica on a free transfer.
European football expert Andy Brassell: "With Tottenham fans on tenterhooks waiting for further news of the Joao Moutinho deal, it seems like business as usual for the midfielder. He departed on a flight to the Algarve with the rest of the Porto squad ahead of tomorrow's game at Olhanense about 25 minutes ago. I'm sure the captain will allow him to keep his mobile on just this once, right?"
- Assistant Steve Round has revealed Everton hope to sign a midfielder before the close of the transfer window at 11pm.

He's here people he's in the studio.
Jim white in the building
Jim
 on-air assassination for Jim White
The bloke's just said competition from Richard Wright might be what Joe Hart needs to continue his development.
Yeah...
This Gary Cotterill is milking the adulation a bit.
Spuds.
SSN giving Jim White the big backstage build up as he enters the building.
RAWK will explode if we don't end up getting a striker/forward/goalscorer.
Then again this place might explode if you don't get anyone...
I wonder if Tottenham explained to Moutinho that Spurs aren't in the CL whilst Porto are.
German football expert Raphael Honigstein: "That sound you didn't hear just now was the German window slamming shut at 1700 BST. There can be no more comings and goings within the Bundesliga, so Ryan Babbel's helicopter must find a landing place abroad - before the fuel's running low. The former Liverpool midfielder is being linked with a return to Ajax; Dutch media are expecting him to sign a one-year-deal following a successful medical this evening.
"There's still no confirmation of Ashkan Dejagah's expected move to Fulham and Chelsea's improved offer for Andre Schürrle (Bayer Leverkusen) has either come in a few millions too low or a few weeks too late. Or both."

Italian football expert James Horncastle: "The gong has sounded in Italy, as the transfer window here comes to a close. Clubs can no longer buy players but they are still able to sell to those based in countries, such as England, where the deadline has not yet passed, so Southampton fans fear not, there is still time to sign Gaston Ramirez from Bologna. In fact, there have been unconfirmed reports from Sky Italia that the deal has been done."
Oh sod off Dharmesh.
Here we go, Dharmesh all set to tell us he doesn't have a fucking clue who Arsenal are after
And there it is. All bases covered.
So Essien might join.
Then again he might not.
i understood selling song in order to find a more reliable replacement. but selling song and not replacing? fucking unbelievable.
what doesn't make sense to me is we tried to bring in a striker (mirallas) and a midfielder (sahin) so wenger must obviously believe we need them, so is there just no back-up plan or what?! i don't understand arsenal's way of doing things :banghead:
Dowie likes Javi Garcia but not as much as he likes Javi Martinez from Valencia. :haha:
fuckkkkkkkk
it's an admission that we aren't good enough no matter what shite comes out his mouth. he sold song and said we would add a defensive midfielder. he went as far as personally calling sahin to ensure we get him, only to back out last minute. that tells me he knows we are short of quality midfielders. he also said we are looking at defenders which tells me he knows we are defensively weak. we'll probably loan essien last minute to numb the pain but it's not good enough. we are +10m this transfer window and i refuse to believe the board would not sanction a transfer from our longest serving, most successful manager. it's his choice to stick with what we have.
he's lost it.
It's our own faults really.....even though our heads tell us nothing is going to happen we let ourselves believe that something might (and of course its not helped by the club either providing a wall of silence or the great communicator telling us "if we find someone special we will try to do it"), I couldn't give a flying monkeys if Essien joins us or not......for me a defensive midfielder is a luxury player....we are short up front....especially with that Danish Halfwit and Park having gone (not to say they would be helpful goals wise, but at least we could delude ourselves that we have options in attack)
