2-2 Son
Absolutely dreadful.
Jorginho :haha:
That’s a shocker
Oh fucking hell.
I don’t think this will end as a draw.
Is Rice injured?
So bad from Jorginho. How much time do you want FFS.
Composure has gone.
Eddie booked for taking out the keeper.
Bit desperate really.
Very flat.
Game is there for Spurs if they want it enough.
Nelson on for Jesus.
Hard to see where a goal is coming from for us. Unless it’s a moment of brilliance.
Havertz blazes a volley over.
10 minutes added on
FT 2-2.
Dreadful half of football.
2-2 FT. Eurgh.
The game was there to be won in the first half but we fucked the chances.
After that Spurs just snuffed us out and of course Rice going off made us as flat as a pancake. There’s no way he makes that mistake Jorginho does. The response to that was pretty disappointing though, it was obvious that we played within ourselves and settled for the point without really turning the screw.
Ah well. We didn’t lose which is the main thing but perhaps shows our squad still leaves a lot to be desired.
Have to say, exactly what I predicted. In fact this result could have been telegraphed. We would have the better of possession and chances but spurs would be more clinical and get a draw
Very frustrating, felt it was going our way after we got the pel but Jorg's fuckup changed all that, we fell apart a bit in the second half, dissapointing but very relieved we at least didn't lose it
Yep, I mean I think my predictions of mid table disaster may be over the top. But I think any hope of us building on last season are going to fall very short as well.
Two issues today, not clinical enough and we then make life more difficult for ourselves with a high line.
What worries me today more than the result is that players are dropping like flies due to soft tissue injuries
Don’t think we’ll have much choice but to go full second string at Brentford midweek.
I agree with all that. I think we’ll be Top 4 but it doesn’t look like we’ll be causing City too much trouble. Early days though, if we beat them ( I know, but lets imagine) then things will feel different.
For the record, I said 2-1 to Arsenal before the game, but I did also think 2-2 was a likely alternative.
It’s a better result for them than us but it’s not a disaster
Yes it does make a difference.
The further they got into it, the more likely they would have to play some of their first team players.
It also gives them something else to focus on and not just the PL. I would not want them to win it just get to the quarter finals or maybe the semi finals and then lose.
I hope they do not go out of the FA cup in the 3rd round either.
I want them in the Thursday night crap next season or worse but I'm sure they will be in Europe next season.
I DON'T want them in the CL next season.
If that goes in we probably win the game with ease and there’s nothing much to really talk about. Those are the margins and while I love Jesus he just isn’t a killer in front of goal.
We wilted without Rice and conceding so quickly after scoring the penalty pretty much destroyed any confidence and composure we might have had to win the game. If Spurs had really turned the screw I’m sure we would be talking about a defeat right now but thankfully they were probably too afraid to try and win it at the risk of losing like we were.
Got to say they were on us from start to finish, the Aussie has them well drilled, while Raya did some good things, not least that save in the first half, even he got caught and ended up playing the ball out a few times
I atill think the big mistake ia not keeping Xhaka and telling him to break Son's legs in the NLD ;)
Alao trying to win any game with Havertz involved is an uphill struggle, what a heap of shit, except funnily enough in defence, maybe we should try to make him a CB
