No way. RVP is a quality player and always has been for us. It's his injuries that are the problem. If he'd have stayed fit during the 07-08 season, we'd have won the title. He was on fire during preseason and was scoring a lot of our early goals, but he got inured and missed the season. Plus, even. Before that. He was scoring spectacular goals for fun. He's a quality player and this isn't a one hit wonder situation.

Even in his half-seasons he has scored at healthy ratios. You can't have nearly a one-in-two career ratio without consistency. Though yes, his dip after the Newcastle game last season was disappointing, but fatigue probably played its past. Andy Johnson dived and scored penalties for like one season. No comparison here.

It would be epic if he went to Manyoo and in the first Manc derby he injured himself injuring Nasri that would be awesome.

It's going sour with RVP, but just thinking back over his career...this is a huge loss. One the vey few players I actually like and thought he lead be example last season. Sad it has to end like this.

He may have refused to go but are we that pussy whipped as a club? He came back for preseason training and could have refused to train with the club if he really wanted to push the boat out. I just think we've come to some sort of agreement.

A bad way to end his Arsenal career. The Club have to take a hard line and stick to it. This constant getting walked over has got to stop and really this is the time to play hardball. Van Persie should leave on our terms and if they can't be met, he should either play or rot.
