Merts made several important interceptions in the first half. Like he always does.

Though i suppose tbf to him he had to keep an eye on the shit that is Santo's and it did not help TV5 was darting up the field instead of staying back.
Drop Santos start Kos and CB with Merts and put TV 5 at LB.

Yeah, Merts was good for the first half and the 1st goal wasn't his fault at all. He had his man covered. Although we were playing the offside trap, Verms was supposed to at least know where Huntelaar was but he didn't. I think both Jenks and Santos was playing him onside. Wasn't a commanding performance from our captain but he was gutted about the loss and I'm sure he'll look at the tapes and try to sort his game out.Quote:
