Bale is at his best running powerfully from the left and crossing. When he moves into other positions, he's erratic to say the least. If both used their talents to their maximum in their careers, Bale would undoubtedly end up being the better player. But at the moment, Bale is merely one of a number of good players in the PL who can sometimes destroy teams and look as useless as Bebe on another day.
