Serious question. It looks like we will sign samba and gervinho, if wenger signs cahil too and perhaps one more. Is it enough or do you want more?
Looks like we're stuck with Denilshit :rose:Quote:
Arsenal have been rebuffed in an attempt to sign Shakhtar Donetsk ace Douglas Costa, according to the player's agent.
The Brazil Under-20 midfielder caught the eye for the Ukrainian side this season during their run to the Champions League quarter-finals and has been linked with a move away this summer.
And, speaking to Calciomercato.com, his agent Cesar Bottega has claimed that Arsenal have approached Shakhtar with a swap deal involving out-of-favour midfielder Denilson.
The 23-year-old has announced his desire to leave the Emirates after failing to cement a place in the Gunners' midfield and will almost certainly depart before the start of the season.
It had been reported that Arsenal have already offered Denilson in a swap deal for fellow Shakhtar midfielder Willian, who is also Brazilian.
But Douglas Costa's agent now thinks that Arsenal are after a different Samba star from the club's ranks - but they won't get him unless they pay up.
Bottega said: "The Gunners have offered the club Denilson in exchange for Douglas but Shakhtar said no. They are not interested in Denilson and would want only money."
He did play against them away tbf and put in his normal shit performance so we can't convince them on the back of youtube vids unfortunatley.
Depends entirely on who or what the 'one more' is, if he's a midfielder with a bit of grit/physicality or whatever and we don't lose anyone of note (i.e. Cesc + Nasri) then I'd be relatively happy.
Incidentally http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-ne...-donetsk-star?
That bit just cracked me up, I'm guessing we're going to try that with every deal this summer.Quote:

Get rid of our good defender instead of our shit one? Either you're a little touched in the head or I'm missing the joke somewhere.
Good defender? Koscielny?
He is better than Toto admittedly but as a great man once said, "shit being better than shit is still shit"
Plus more chance of Shakthar saying yes to Kozza as hes younger and there is a chance however small that he might not be shit in future

Shock Headline: Barca President claims Fabregas is Worthless

We still need a player with experience of winning stuff or with some star quality, preferably a big name. I'm tired of us always going for 'unknowns' or lesser quality players just because we want to save money. If we were in for Sanchez for example that would make a statement of intent, we won't obviously.
Although Gervinho looks a good buy long term, he's not going to be at 100% for most of the season. Will take a few months to bed in and then will be off for the ACoN in January, meaning there's a good chance we won't see him at full ability for half the season.
It's time for the board to man up.
Some of us have moved to countries where they show all the premiership games in full and you can watch them at your leisure. I've seen enough of Tiote to pass judgment - he came highly recommended by Steve McClaren of all people - ha - he got that spot on. Excellent player that will only get better and tough as nails and a real workhorse - talk to any Geordie fan and they will also tell you that him and Ben Arfa before his leg was smashed by De Jong - were absolutely bargain signings - and I would've loved to see them both in Arsenal shirts.
I'm quite excited for the first time in ages.
I actually think our manager is gonna do something about the mess we're in.

According to the papers...
IN
Eto'o
Cahill
Samba
Hazard
OUT
Bendtner
Vela
Denilson
Clichy
So far so good...
Just get a keeper in that and the transformation to the good side will be complete
If it were up to me...
IN: Cahill 15m, Samba 8m, Eto'o 10m, Defoe 8m, Tiote 12m, Rodwell 13m (I think will develop into an excellent player) =65million or so?
OUT: Arshavin 9m, Denilson 6m, Bendtner 10m, Clichy 8m, Vela 5m, Diaby 6m, Squillacci 1m, =45million or so?
NET spend 20million
Personally I would have liked to spend on Ashley Young - but looks like he's a Manc now.
We should not go for defoe like MS said he is shit.
Chamakh was born in a place not far from Iraq IIRC tbf IMO WWTL@WHL
Rodwell is pretty shit tbh
Actual shit, from a cat, is better than Parker.

What a pathetic attempt to bring the price down. Who is he trying to kid?Quote:
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell believes that the value of Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has gone down since last summer.
The Catalan club failed to sign the 24-year-old Spain midfielder last year.
"If last summer we offered 40m euros (£35.1m) for Cesc, since then there has been wear and tear, now he's worth less," said Rosell.
