Seriously, how do you all expect Wenger’s reign to end? There was always going to be a day where the fans grew restless and powerless. It’s partly down his stubbornness and refusing to listen to what the fans have to say. It’s also down to the Board taking no action at all and that just frustrates the fans even more. This backlash was bound to happen after 9 years.
There is a mention of the word "IF". IF there is no other way for him to leave the club and this is the only way he realizes how bad he is, then he will get it. If Americans are determined to contract the language to the extreme then why not just say Ugh, Ugh, Ugh in response to everything? There's the added bonus of such a response being slightly more highbrow than the typical American utterance. Although I accept some complexity should still be permitted, such as the liberal use of the word "awesome" without which it wouldn't be American at all.
