Cheers for the heads up.
Hope we don't sign him now.

There's more chance of Ronald McDonald joining KFC than Wenger losing his job to be honest.
I personally don't like having to watch chumps all over the pitch, would rather see some quality to entertain me.
Haven't seen Ronaldo McDonaldo for some time, come to think of it.
Can't have a paedo on your team tbf :sulk:
Come to think of it why don't we sign Ronald McDonald to play in defence, why not have a real clown there rather than imitations?
The real thing is always better.
Or a racist **** like John Terry!
No sorry he won't fit in, he can defend.
Big Man can throw his body around a lot but I think defending has passed him by now.
Has Cavani been spotted on Holloway Road yet?
Time for Swanson to get on the case.
Cavani spotted in the kebab shop next to the 12 Pins in Finsbury Park.....
So no transfers confirmed this Jan then

Wenger signs nobody shocker!
Not something we're very familiar with I know, so here's a refresher :

So there I was not wanting to go to sleep incase I missed something and here I am, having read the thread, wishing I hadnt woken up.
The Cavani rumour is truely smoking but seriously has an odour about it. . .as much as we need goals, I cant help feeling that if we were to spunk that amount of money we should do it on tge likes of Felliani, a player who can cintribute all over the pitch, goals, assists and defence and while we are in that neck of the woods, we could pick up Baines. I like Gibbs but he is a maverick who cant defend, we could also find ourselves short at CB and even though I rate Kos he is not having a great season. The Montpellier capt would be fine but I wouldnt mind us going for a less graceful option, say for example Distin, a player who would kick lumps out of RvP rather than give him the keys to the house, just because we used to get on with the guy. . .too nany pussies and not enough balls

"We can strengthen everywhere. At the moment, it is more important that the team remains focused. If we find something, we will do it. But I prefer to do business in the summer and have identified players for then."
that should clear it up....
He says something similar every single window.
It's weird that some of you still expect a straight answer from him.
You two both sound as if you're still hopeful....
So no Cavani then.Quote:
"Listen, [with regards to] Cavani; Napoli are playing for the title and the Champions League in Italy. What is Napoli's interest in selling Cavani? None, unless you say, ‘OK, we will pay twice the price of what the player is worth'.
"On top of that, all the players who can strengthen us are cup-tied in the Champions League."
He would cost £30mill+ so there was never any Cavani. Have a root around the bottom of the bargain bucket, check that city and the chavs or the hammers or crewe alexandria aren't interested, see if there is a sneaky clause in the player's contract that allows him to go on the cheap, make sure the rumour has not appeared in the press, make sure wenger has never mentioned the name - you now have our list of prospective targets.
Media seem to have run with the £30m unsubstantiated rumour, put 2+2 together and got Cavani.
A player for whom Napoli turned down a £45m bid in the summer, who has a release clause of £50m, and who could go pretty much anywhere he wanted and earn 3 times as much as we could possibly pay?
I hope this happens.
He won't buy or at least won't buy what we need but we all know that.
He says the same sh*t every window.
As he said a few weeks ago his major signing of the Window will be Walcott, that's done now.
I honestly believe his transfer pot includes extending player contracts. He's just signed a 20mill pound player in "his world".
The summer will be all about keeping the team together, I.E. keeping hold of Walcott & Wilshere/or Cazorla.
