The glimmer of hope I'm clinging to is that we had to wait till the CL qualifier was done and the Nasri and Fabregas situations were resolved.
Tonight's result will determine our budget and the calibre of player we can attract. If the transfer window closes and we haven't made any major signings then, like Kate Middleton, we're royally screwed. But it's all going to be a mad scramble as we've only got a week or so to do things :(
