French players from Ligue 1.
We've never signed a bad one.
Anybody know the latest on M'Vila?

Not sure if there's much merit in the article about M'vila. I didn't watch him play at all. In general, I like the notion of having another defensive and combative midfielder. It gives us options. I'm assuming you're just wum'ing as per usual, but I hope it the transfer goes ahead. I don't give a toss about the cost as we've got plenty saved over the years and at the very least he's head and shoulders above Frimpong.
We do need another midfielder but M'vila is average at best. Might as well save the money and play Coq.
He's not worth £14m and he won't be the difference that pushes us on to win the title. He's not a leader and as seen with Rosicky, Arteta and Yossi from last season, we need vocal players that can organise the middle of the park. He's not that sort of player and we need a taleneted individual but someone whose also a leader and battler.
I like Coquelin and think he has the talent to push on. His injury history worries me slightly. I'd rather not gamble on him breaking through. And as far as saving money, I'd rather we not tried to do that either. We've been doing that for years.
What do you base your opinion on M'vila being average on? I've not seen a great deal of him. Plays for an average side but is said to stand out. Still young but in the national team. Prognosis would seem good.
I think I understand what you mean, and yes, I think a general in the midfield would be a real benefit. Is it essential?
I think it is essential. We need somebody that is going to shout about defensive discipline and cover. We've got plenty of cover for the midfield but we don't have a general that can organise things. If we're not going for that sort of player. I see no point in buying a DM. Especially one that's quiet as a mouse. We might as well give Coquelin and Frimpong there chance to play and learn from Arteta and Song in that case. I don't think we're missing talent in that department, it's more about the attitude and discipline.
Rumours going round QPR going to get Benayoun.
We need to snap him up !
Harsh to base his performance on 2 games Cripps esp in that France team playing alongside Nasri... and it was obvious he was still carrying that ankle knock...
I honestly think that signing M'vila would be a real sign of intent from us. He's 21, a very tidy player in the mould of Makelele(sp) and super disciplined in terms of the holding role. It could free up Rosicky, Arteta (wilshere is he ever returns) and Song a little more and also allow us to rotate our midfield. The kid looks quality. Coquelin also looks quality (wherever he plays) ....If we can get M'vila for a similar price to Giroud...then I think our transfers are half complete already. Still think we will need a new keeper and perhaps a right back if Sagna looks to have a problem. So we'll see who goes...Fingers-crossed M'Vila signs soon.

Arsenal's Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner is closer to making a decision on his future, following "overwhelming" and "global" interest in the 24-year-old, according to his agent.
The Denmark international, who scored twice at Euro 2012 for Morten Olsen's side, has struggled to make an impression at Arsenal and spent last season on-loan at the Stadium of Light with Sunderland.
Bendtner is expected to move on from the Emirates Stadium this summer, and his agent, Jesper Lynghus, says that a number of clubs from around the world are interested in signing the striker.
"The interest is overwhelming, just as it should be after the way Nicklas performed at Euro 2012," Lynghus told Danish newspaper bold.dk.
"We are getting closer day by day. We are not commenting on individual deals at the moment, but it is fair to say the interest in Nicklas is global."

You can't open a paper or turn on a TV without hearing all about the clamour for Nik.
Tottenham Hotspur sign Hoffenheim's Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to Bild. Reportedly €10m fee. #THFC
Oh, Flamini just signed a 1 year extension with Milan today.
Rumours doing the rounds that fulham want Ramsey on loan to replace the exiting Danny murphy.
Would be a good move if true.
Not really
If it was permanent and we got Dempsey as well then it would be great.
On loan, that means he'll come back to us :(
True, unless they kick him into shape and teach him how to play football of course.
Apparently, Drogba's arriving in Spain to sign for Barcelona.
