If they play like a 100mph Championship team and pump the ball up to Ba early on from set-pieces, I could see them getting some joy while we're missing Mertesacker. If we control the game though and actually pass at a decent level, it should be pretty comfortable. We can't risk starting at a slow pace though and making it unnecessarily hard for ourselves. Play Ox and Sanchez and be direct. No need to pack the midfield again.

I take it your are complaining that I didn't include Merts. This is because I didn't think he would travel. However when we play teams this year with quick forwards I would not put him in the team.
We have played 6 qualifying ties in this competition, we have played 12 games and won them all, I expect it to be the same tonight.
I was in a Def Leppard covers band with Slaven Bilic when he was working in Russia, did a version of Rocket that would set your teeth on edge
Why wouldn't you play Merts against teams with pacey forwards? I don't really recall any game last season where I thought, yeah he really struggled against this player. In the games we got pumped I'd point to the midfield more as the reason, because sloppy passes and a lack of intensity lead to waves of pressure on the back 4.
