I can't even put into words what Rodgers is thinking with this cunt.
Granted we have a couple of injuries, but we have a defender sitting on the bench who is better than him, a defender out on loan who is better than him and a £6m defender who wasn't even given a look in before being sent out on loan who I bet wouldn't fuck up as much as him.
Our loan policy is fucking shocking. Borini out winning Tyne-Wear derbies, Assaidi winning games for Stoke and then we have Moses picking his nose on the bench and Aspas collecting a wage packet for fuck all. And on top of that we can't even sign anyone without Ayre trying to take 53p off the fee and going for players we don't even need. Gerrard. Is. Not. A. Deep. Lying. Playmaker. Buy a fucking DM, Brendan. Make some substitutions which have an impact on the game, Brendan. Stop picking Toure, Brendan. Just try to look inspiring, Brendan.
Sterling was fouled all game. Half the time they didn't even try to hide it, eg: Ridgewell. If you think he was diving then you're blind.
Oh look at him. Fucking look at him. It's tragic. Just retire you twat.

100 million people to watch £3 billion game: The Daily Express reports that an estimated world-wide TV audience of around 100m will tune in for the battle of the money men at the Etihad Stadium tonight. The two most expensive teams in British football history go head-to-head in a clash that will go a long way to deciding the destiny of this season’s Premier League title. City's squad cost around £360m to assemble compared to Chelsea's £340m but while Sheikh Mansour has 'only' invested around £1bn since buying City in 2008, Roman Abramovich''s total outlay is now around £2bn since buying the club in 2003.

Are they only counting the cost of this seasons squad for Citeh and Chelsea?
I like the way it suggests that the title is only being contended by these two teams and no one else.
Anyone think if we are still up there when our fixtures come up, that our games will be titled 'showdown' or 'decide the outcome of the title' ??

Maureen is shitting himself prior to the game tonight. He's been bitching non stop all week and hes at it again today saying Chelsea cant compete with City's millions! WTF? the odious prick outspent all his rivals 10 years ago and anytime someone ws interested in a player he'd come in and double the price (SWP, Robben, Drogba just to name a few).
Now he's complaining! what a hipocrite.
No, you've got it wrong. It's just mind games. He's the fucking master of all that. Just games with the mind so that his rivals' minds are gamed. He's just mind gaming his way to the title while everyone else's gamed minds watch on in amazement.

our defence was also not our first choice defence after about ten minutes. Mertesacker and Koscienly haven't lost a game where they have completed 90 minutes for over two years (30 games), we have conceded about 2 goals since novemeber at home. just because city won at home doesn't mean they will win away.

Hmm
If it weren't for some appalling decisions I think a draw would have been the fair result.
They really went on top when we just gave up with our tired legs.
I don't disagree that they are a tremendous team but that game was one of the poorest refereeing that I've ever seen.
We didn't get penalties, had goals disallowed due to offside, had goals allowed against us due to offside.
I'm sure we didn't play to our best but City had so many decisions go against their game.

I don't think they can stop this City team if Aguero is playing, regardless of their record. It depends on the situation IMO, if City are top and don't need to win we might get a draw.

this team has stopped a hell of a lot of top strike forces. sturridge, suarez, lewandoski, reus, bayern munich etc etc. this team can do it, and its time you actually gave them some credit. Our defence is a hell of a lot better then chelsea's yet city still haven't scored

Their may have been some decisions that went against us, but they still beat us by 3 goals, I'm not sure you can claim a draw when the difference is 3 goals.
If you factor in the mistakes i.e. no penalty, 2 disallowed goals wrongly, and their wrongly allowed goal, it would be a draw.
When it went to 4-2 our players just gave up especially with their exertions and we completely lost our shape.
I don't disagree they are great attacking. But if you watch a rerun of that game, they got every decision and we lost every decision against us. The biggest reason if you watch it again was that in the first twenty minutes very few decision went their way with and correctly. Their crowd started baying.
And when the linesman gave one decision I think on the 20th minute - funnily enough a wrong one against us - their fans sarcastically applauded. Since that, not a single decision went for us.

denied a penalty, two incorrect goals ruled out for offside, one offside goal allowed for them. so that takes out the 3 goal lead and potentially adds one to our favour. city were the better team on the day, but if the referee had got the big decisions right, they wouldn't have won by 3 goals

Belgium's defence is a bit of a concern really. Vermaelen, Kompany and Vertonghen are all three good but with big flaws in them.
As you say though, it gets washed away because undoubtedly Kompany has often been dominant in the 'big' games.

Glaring weakness in this side. Don't think we need a striker if we can buy someone like Navas. Would add so much to this side.
Wenger needs to allow Gnabry and Podolski when they play to stay out wide and give us width. We have plenty of central players who can pass it through the middle. But if our wide players come centrally it makes it impossible for us to go through.
