He's only ever played one season proper, so I have to agree that he's not the messiah just yet.
However, this boy has bags of talent, and given a few years, I firmly believe he'll be one of the best in the world.

He was already one of the best in the world. And then we fucked him up. No idea whether he'll come back anywhere near the player he was.
And he's not even playing ffs. Arseblog you muppet. This guy's giving updates and looks legit: http://twitter.com/#!/alexbrandler
Brb, going to stab myself in the eye.
Whilst i agree with what you say in terms of outperforming the ****, doing that does not make you one of the best in the world.
Do not forget, last season was shocking for us and Wilshere played a big part in our team last season. Yes he is young and he will improve and no doubt go on and become the best in the world at what he does but after one season with us, hes nowhere near that level yet.
Needs to add more creativity to his game
he is a poor mans Gareth Barry at best. Anyone who thinks he can perform in the same way that Fabregas did for us is just fooling himself. You say that Wilshere outperformed him last season, i say that 9 goals and 17 assists in 36 performances by a player half way out the door compared to 3 goals and 9 assists in 49 games by a young up and coming player trying to establish himself in a team speaks volumes.
He has talent and hopefully one day that will be achieved but currently he is a decent squad player and no more.
