Herbert :haha:
You've had a shocking week pal.
How long til Wenget converts him into a left winger?
If Sanogo is fit on Sunday then Welbeck will be dropped for him. Nailed on certainty.

6 in 6 for club and country for Welbz.
His Smile .
Athlete ball strikers.
Welbeck 4... Falcao 0.
Had to be said tbh.
And Zim.
Imagine if Welbz score more than Falcoa this season
I mean, you don't have to imagine because it's definitely happening, but still :haha:
Signing a crock journeyman and selling a young, athletic player with scope to improve.
Genius!
No disrespect to Giroud but he would have never scored those goals.
Dat pace and power!
Vietnam
Fantastic finishing from the kid. Was sceptical at first but the goals he scored, the last in particular, were just clinical. As adapts more to our style, he’ll get more goals.
I really like him. I think his all round game is already really decent and he geniunely links up well with the other attacking players. His finishing last night was superb.
There is definitely room for improvement and I hope he keeps on developing because we could potentially have a gem on our hands here.
He scores when he wants…
He scores when he waaaaaants…
Danny Welbeck, he scores when he wants…
He scores when he wants…
And he’s not a cuuuuuunt….
Danny Welbeck…
He scores when he wants!
Wel happy with Danny's goals last night - that was exactly what I wanted to see from him...
...get your movement and timing right, and most of the time all you'll ever have to do is poke it home, or roll it under/around the keeper, like you're making a pass...
Exactly. Finishing can always be improved if given time but the first thing a striker needs is to put himself about and get into promising positions, otherwise there's never an opportunity to score. There's a reason why Podolski doesn't play despite being one of the best finishers we have and it's because he's a sloth who offers no movement.
I know Gala's defence was dreadful but was so good to see a player making runs in behind for a change. Alexis and Chamberlain were doing it as well. We haven't had that for a long time.
Any Utd meltdown's after Welbz tonked it?
Also, Welbeck > Balotelli
Rodgers :pal:
Welbeck hits the post against Citeh and it's 'Wayward Welbeck' from McNumpty: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29192068.
Scores a hat-trick in the CL and not a peep from McLOLty. He was reporting on the game too.
Not that you should be posting one of your rubbish, uninformative, pointless articles after every game. But you can't criticise a guy for narrowly missing the target one week and then fail to highlight his excellence another. Journalism .
Seriously massive. Welbz thread on cafe is split into three camps. The "He's still shit and Falcao will score eventually" camp, the "told you we should never have sold him, especially to Arsenal, and so what if I cheer his goals" camp, and the "come on guys, can we all just be friends" cunts.
I'm not quite comfortable with singing....'he scores when he wants'.....but happy to see him go from strength to strength and to see fans get on his side considering the hysteria at the prospect of signing him shortly before we did.
Watching one of those player highlight vids on youtube, Welbeck's performance really was as close to a 10/10 complete CF performance that you could get. Won't be particularly memorable because although it was against CL opposition, Galatasary were very disorganised. When asked about if he had learned anything new about Welbeck since he joined, Wenger said he was surprised by his finishing ability, his technical ability and his pace. I'd add movement to that. He didn't get played much as a CF at Man Utd but the movement and runs he is making shows a real striker's instinct. In every aspect really - his touch, pace, strength...he's showing greater potential than he did at Man Utd. And that's not just down to biased opinions - Welbeck's using the momentum of joining a new club and the confidence of playing regularly in his favoured position.
Since the move, he has got 2 goals for England, 4 goals in 5 games for Arsenal (hit the inside of the post against Man City too) and his general game looks very good. The most exciting thing about it is that because he's surprising people with his technique and athleticism, we're yet to be able to judge what his ceiling is. Obviously he still has it all to do but the early indication is he's ready to become a top player.
Well this is going to go down well...

WUMger.
Mmm, maybe the thread should be renamed The UnWelbz Thread.
Never mind, He'll be like a new signing in January instead.
The thing is...it's just so cynical. It says on there the decision was taken last week to go for surgery yet we just happen to announe this after the transfer window has closed.
Arseholes.
Thats a piss take by the club.
Cynical? clubs have just spent £865 million for a few footballers contracts in the middle of Europe's largest humanitarian crisis since WW2, I think I'm losing heart with football altogether.
WUMger has got one over us all.
Again.
I Knew he was badly crocked, the silence was deafening.
Oh yes, thanks for that, were would we be without your wit and wisdom, bless you :good:
Oh FFS!
This club really takes the piss.
Well at least he'll become a much better player while he's out injured. And if he's due back in February then we all know what happens come the January transfer window.
