Passing was shocking today, overhit, underhit….nobody on a wavelength. Really strange.
On form we smash that lot to pieces. Draw which felt like a loss.

Saka aside no one was really at the races, yet at the same time I don’t get keeping on him on the pitch when he could barely break into a stride. With all the soft tissue injuries that are piling up, it’s frankly miraculous that he’s as robust as he is
Nketiah ? Continuation of last week just not on the wavelength of others around him
Load of shite. Feels like a loss.
Controlled the first half but didn't stamp on their neck and inevitably paid the price. Jesus profligacy is a huge problem and individual errors like Saka for the first and Jorginho for the second are far, far too common with this team.
Rice and Viera going off and lack of quality to replace them was clearly an issue. If Rice was injured, fair enough, but taking Viera off because, I assume, he lacks the physicality to play without Rice/with Jorginho is a bit of a joke. If that was the issue then why the fuck, with all their resources, have they not put 10lbs on him over the summer?
Pissed off with that result.
On Vieira, Arteta said it was a 'tactical reason' but that doesn't mean it was to do with physicality, I think that's a cliche which may have been slightly true at the start but isn't now - he took a few knocks in the first half especially, but I think that's the usual thing of the opposition trying to kick a talented player out of the game - also I think at least once it was that Arteta instruction for a player to stay down to allow us to get into shape
I dunno I still think he’s not physical enough for the premier league, he’s also got a weird centre of gravity for someone so short, it’s clearly better to play him in that position than Havertz but I think in a high intensity game like that he comes up short…though replacing him with Havertz was hardly a master stroke.
Don’t get me wrong much better than he was last season but still lacking
If people are looking for scapegoats then there are quite a few one could choose ahead of Vieira, starting with Jorg for that horrendous fuckup, then Jesus for a bad miss which could have made it 2-0, then as I say Havertz for being largely (though I admit not wholly) useless, also Zin did his best to make it easier for Spuds on many occasions as always
but no-one walked away with huge credit we were very scrappy, in the second half especially, as has already been said
No I don’t think there is one player singularly responsible for yesterday and no Vieira was not the worst player on the pitch
Nor would I say that if Vieira was more ripped we would have got the win. I just think he looked a bit out of his depth and easy to bully.
But Collectively the performance wasn’t there.
Jenas :haha:

Fabrizio Romano claiming that we might have been tired after our midweek game, fuck right off with that…that game was a stroll in the park. The problem is that we weren’t able to up our intensity levels in order to play against a much stronger opponent
