You've got to be kidding!
Arsenal have never ever come out in public about how much money they have at thier disposal, it's not their style. Once the was in this was in the public domain, I just knew we were going to have a quiet summer, and just do the occasional low profile signings. Besides it would be more astute to sign your players early in the summer so you they can get all the pre-season behind them, nothing will happen until January panic transfer weekend.

Whats the point of spending the summer cutting the garbage from the squad, only to fill it up again with more shite. We should be bringing in established first team players to improve the overall squad quality/depth. If the current ones don't like it tough shit, its how all the other big clubs work.
Our scouts and networks are slowly draining away, they are crap compared to Southamptons, Norwich's and even Swansea. They are so small in comparison to Arsenal but they have balls of steel and footballing people in the board room. Good luck to the 3 of them.
It is bad enough that we are not bringing in quality, but the sad thing is these free transfers and squad type signings are typical Wenger signings. It fits into Wenger's profile and allows him to continue unabated with his "vanity project".
He is so defiant when it comes to the transfer market and spending fairly large sums of money on semi-established/established players. He even made a comment the other day, albeit a slightly amusing one about Sanogo being a good player but one that went under the radar because he didn't cost "50-100 Million".
I knew what he was getting at and this is the problem for me, it's like when people suggest he spends, his response is, "where do I find the money for a Messi?"

Why is it I can't help feeling someone has made someone, and IS making someone a lot of money at the Emirates? Football is now little more than big business.
