    Bayern Munich v Arsenal, 4 Nov, 7.45pm

Walcott out makes this an even more difficult game to come up with a successful game plan. I'm not sure of the wider permutations but a point would be decent.

Bayern will be out for revenge of course and with Giroud up front, Alexis needs to be back on his game and the defence have to be immaculate once more.

Ramsey will be a huge miss in a game like this, his non-stop running is needed as the ball is shifted around and Campbell will have to step up even further than Swansea to make his presence known, as Bellerin will need all the help he can find against Costa.

With a full strength side we had a chance but this one is a step too far I think.

Need at least a point really to maintain some sort of realistic hope of qualifying.

    0-1.

NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

we need one of those heroic defensive displays from everyone on the pitch and we need to score first.

Robben is back so expect the diving and cheating to cause us problems.

Frankly I dont think we should even bother. The more we exert for this game, the more likely we will lose more players to injury. Just dont lose 5-0 or worse, and I wouldnt care much. We will not be making any waves in the CL, so no point wasting our energy on this.

Yes turn up at the best team in Europe at the moment and put in minimal effort. Guaranteed not to get an absolute pasting that way.

These are the games footballers live for, and the sort of test fans should be relishing, particularly after beating them two weeks ago and a couple of seasons back. So I expect nothing but maximum effort and our strongest line up out there.

As a fan, yes, I want our best team out there. As a realist, I know that putting in 'maximum effort' could also result in us losing more players to injury, and thereby losing our realistic targets of PL and FA cup.

Our players, as you may have noticed over the last decade, can pick up an injury at any place and any time.

Resting is completely pointless. Alexis had a week off and played like post-depression Arshavin on Saturday. Prior to that, he played twice a week for a month or so and was brilliant. Play the best team and if they get injured, it's just another one to add to the list that's been mostly in double figures ever since the Invincibles team was broken up.
