are the scum a more attractive club then us?

right so ive seen a lot of people on here saying taht the scum are a more attractive club then us and are progressing while we are standing still. is this actually true?

last season, they were 13 points ahead of us at one point, we were in freefall yet we won the race. we hammered them at our place and placed the pressure them causing them to choke. yes it was close in the end but still we did it. our worst team ever beat their best team ever, surely that says they are a less attractive side then us to join.

the scum every year come out and say our aim is to beat Arsenal, its never get top four or win the league its always beat us. someone has already started it today, think it was bale again so how can you accuse of staggnatiing and htem of progressing when we are ahead and they fell behind?

The bottom line is that: If we offer a #decent player £70k a week and Tottenham offer that player £70k a week, he'll pick us. If we offer £70k a week and they offer £80k a week, they'll pick them.

Players want money. In their careers, they want those couple of big 4-year contracts that'll sort them out. As long as the teams are roughly in the same bracket, they go to who pays more.

Ollie, this isn't really worth the topic. I know where it stems from - the usual suspects bending things out of shape with the Vertonghen transfer. Money is obviously king. Then the other stuff can be sorted into any order you want with a general higher regard for the better standard of competition they'll play in. Vertonghen wants to join Spurs. Nothing out of the ordinary. People have agendas to suit so will make his compliments into more doom prophesying about no one wanting to join Arsenal. We know the deal.

If you don’t send this signature to ten people, you will become a Spurs fan.

we have a bigger stadium, somehow keep ourselves in the cl every season and can pay a little bit more overall than spurs and have a more illustrious history. spurs owner joel lewis has put a fair amount into spurs without much return, despite losing around a billion when investment bank bear stearns went tits up. they are pretty much running to capacity at the moment as we are, which is why a bigger stadium is top of the agenda.

the gap between us has decreased year on year and in terms of football, they are pretty much on a par with us right now. our off field activities has put us way ahead of them, so even if in the immediate future they do sit above us in the league, for them to sustain that will be extremely hard.

basically they would need another wenger who could work on a tight budget during a stadium move and retain top four status to really grow another step as a club. redknapp won't be around for that much longer given his history so their next choice of manager will really help shape where they head in the next decade.

    so in short, fuck em.
