Wenger signs a 25 year old, top class keeper to contend with Szczesny. What do you think they're smoking over there at the Emirates?

There is no question that the tables have turned. We are now through the transition period. Ours is a club that has built a foundation from which to grow. I doubt it will be enough to win us the league this year, but we are using our resources to put us in position to maintain a substantive challenge. If we do find ourselves in a similar position to the one we were in last January, it will be interesting to see if we continue to build the squad then if that is what is required.

Why didn't we do this last year, more like. The league was wide open.
No idea what's going to happen this year but we're putting together a solid squad so anything is possible.
Never even heard of him, not one of Nice's star players, not sure why we're splashing out 3 million on this guy.
I'm not saying we can't win it this year. You make a good point however about last year. Had we bolstered the squad up front by either providing more support or even having someone take over from Giroud as the main striker, we could have won it.
My main point however is that I am happy that we now have a strategy in place where we are making use of our resources to enhance our chances of winning the league rather than trying to challenge with one hand tied behind our backs.
