Just switched on the telly to find a load of burds riding around London on bikes in next to nothing. . .imagine its the triathlon but cant see a thread to perv over it on!

You really do need a proper bike for it and ensure you get a good fitting.
The missus is fitter than me, but the difference the bike made was incredible and most noticeable on our way back. We were going downhill pretty much the whole way and I was in my highest gear peddling like mad and at tomes getting no resistance I was going that fast. My wife peddled intermittently and was out of sight.
And my bike ain't shit either, its a Specialized Rockhopper.
