True. The thing about his signing though is that I just don't thing he proved enough for his 12million worth, one good season at a league which is no where as good as the PL doesn't prove you're good enough for arsenal, the fact that he hasn't proved so on the international scene either could suggest that he's a player who can't perform on the big stage, Wenger should have analysed this more and learned from his mistakes.
no one has proved their price tag - since when was the value truly relative? on the international stage he has benzema as the first choice and has played more time as a substitute more than anything else. he is a gamble, you are right there, but after starting two games you write him off? there were and still are question marks over podolski after his failure at bayern, despite his international status.
