I thought we might as well make one thread for all the Emirates cup games. No point making 15 threads for a pointless tournament.

Match Schedule:

Saturday, August 2, 2014
Valencia CF v AS Monaco – 2pm kick-off
Arsenal v SL Benfica – 4.20pm kick-off
Sunday, August 3, 2014
SL Benfica v Valencia CF – 2pm kick-off
Arsenal v AS Monaco – 4.20pm kick-off

Rules:
Teams will be awarded three points for a win and one point for a draw. The competition also rewards attacking play, with teams earning one point for each goal they score. In addition, shots on target will be taken into account and will be used to decide the tournament winners if teams are level on points and goal difference, with the winning team being presented with the Emirates Cup trophy after the second match on Sunday, August 3.

May I point out we haven't actually won the cup since 2010

Delighted that Sanogo, Campbell and Bellerin all impressed - 3 potential bonus players for the season ahead, that no one would have had too many / any expectations for. Poor Jenks though - his motivation for this year will be in the toilet before the season even starts if Bellerin continues like that!

Bellerin looks so confident and composed on the ball and he made a beauty of a cross for Campbell's goal too. Problem is that, apparently, he is a bit suspect defensively which he will need to work on. Great prospect though
