    Arsenal vs Newcastle 18.05.2025 - KO 16:30

Well, I don’t remember if we’ve lost to a team four times in one season

Lost to United three times in 2004/2005
Lost to City three times in 2020/2021 and 2022/2023
Lost to Liverpool three times in 2021/2022
Lost to Chelsea three times in 2005/2006

It’s not a record I feel like I’d want us to create, in fact I want to beat the sods

No problem with Eddie Howe, done a good job with Newcastle and seems like a decent guy. Would actually consider him as potential replacement for Arteta (not that I expect Arteta to go soon)

    Anyway 0-3 Faustino Asprilla hat-trick

0-3 Isaak hatter (it's a shame 'some people' can't even think up their own original catchphrase isn't it...?)

In a way it’s probably better for us that this game has a little something riding on it now. A competitive edge should bring us out of our shells a bit more.

Newcastle will definitely feel like they can beat us and the last thing we want for our final home game is to be sent off on our jolly’s with a chorus of groans and a 3rd place finish.

The "lap of honour" will be hilarious if we lose.

I'm not sure I would use that word but it will certainly be 'subdued'...

Does that really count as a catchphrase ?

Anyway whilst its rare, sometimes a cover is better than the original

Johnny Cash’s Hurt comes to mind

Plus mine is more creative by invoking players who have been retired for more than 20 years

I have to say that I have developed a real dislike for Newcastle. It's not just that they have bested us too many times recently. I think they are a snide, dirty team, managed by a smug manager - who have been let off the hook generally for being a (questionable) state owned entity. Plus there are the shit decisions they have benefitted from in our games over the past couple of years - including how the likes of Joelinton and Guimaraes are allowed to get away with constant fouling.

Hate them and really want us to win this one.

No beef with Eddie Howe but I do share the other sentiments expressed

Used to like Newcastle before it changed ownership

or you could be even more creative and actually think of your own

oh and in advance, be aware that saying "I wish we will win tbf" doesn't count as creative or original
