It's not a resource issue, i doubt Swansea are any better off financially than Stoke but they play football in a way that's to be admired and they defend well and don't lose too many games.....they don't feel the need to do that by putting the boot in.
and quite frankly it is just the lazy way to play football. sure, you come into the country's top tier and you have to tough it out for a season or two but then you have to develop something a bit different, evolve your team instead of just going out to buy the biggest 7ft bastards available to keep doing the same old thing you always have. no one is even saying they have to play like swansea but look at everton, who have consistently overachieved on their limited resources, always tough to beat and whilst not the prettiest in the league, certainly far from the worst. fulham come into that category as do west brom. pullis has nothing else on offer apart from this one style, outdated way of archaic football.
