Great free kick from Santi. That was a pressure moment and he delivered. Ramsey with that brilliant winner. Still have no idea how he stuck that in. So happy to win the game outright off our own effort and not have to go to penalties or have the ref award a deciding penalty. He had a bad game but I'd feel a little sour if that's how the game was decided. It was fitting for someone to step and glad it was our man of the season.

Some shaky performances out there that needs addressing. Kos and Merts were really nervy and made costly mistakes. Fabianski too. Full backs were ok besides Gibbs miss, but the kid played on with a bad ankle so credit to him for seeing it out. Arteta seemed ineffective, Ozil was ineffective, Giroud got better when Sanogo came on...Pod was rightly subbed but I always feel he has a goal in him. But we at least made it through.

Must have been hell for Wenger sitting through that. Good to see him cheer at the end of all that. It's been a long time coming. Honestly, I'd like to see him walk away on a high. We should be putting our foot down next season to build on this momentum. We're not a million miles away from our rivals. Nobody ran away with the league and there were a lot of slip ups. It was an opportunity missed but it's one we have to get over and do better next year.
Sanogo is an odd one; it does seem like he is a completely blank canvas (for now presumably) Wenger to work with and with no idea what kind of player he will actually go on to be.

On the game itself, we started quite awfully, in what we have seen in the important games on a neutral/away setting throughout. I guess with so many mess-ups it should have been expected we were not going to progress serenely in a final. Arsenal - Newcastle in 1998 this was not.
