Basically I see parallels between us and Man United post Fergie and I think the easiest way to smoothen the transistion would be at the very least to hire a football man on the board, a David Dein type.
The next guy won't get the same amount of freedom. Wenger is the last of a dying breed.

They'll go for a younger, more dynamic manager, one that submits to the board.
