Exactly. A DM shouldnt be the best player in your team. If he is then you have problems. Look at West Ham last season for example. He gets the ball and he passes it to better players to do their stuff. All DMs do that and the best do it brilliantly. Gilberto was the best in the world in doing that but he didnt have Parkers energy so his game was more on intercepting the pass and reading the game. Parker is more GHELish in his way. Runs around, gets in your face type of player. Add the passing ability he has and the tackling and hes a damn fine player. We could do with either type of player this season. Shame hes not younger for Englands sake but delighted hes old as he plays for Spuds.

Your right but there are better players who play in the parker role we could ahve got, thats where Wenger failed. Parker don't fit into the way we play tbh, gives the ball alway too many times.

Yann M'Vila would have cost 15 -20 mill max but would be worth it in the long term. parker for me was a gamble and spuds have been lucky he has stayed fit tbh. Id also say had Westham not been relegated puds wouldhave paid some silly over the top price for him.

A pub teamer who has 17 caps for france oppose to a pubtemer who has only played 10 times for England he can't be too bad then.
