We can sign anyone we want now, they just obviously can't be registered as an Arsenal player until July 1st. These type of deals aren't common because most players do not want to discuss their future while they still have an obligation to perform for their current club.

Indeed but if the two clubs agree on it, then it makes little difference as to how it would contradict rules of tapping someone up.
