Let's hope and pray that only his heart was a bit dodge to stop beating for a while but paramedics and all those brave doctors gave it ( his heart) a kick to start working again . I don't want to imagine any further damage as the poor has suffered too much . Dear Lord please hear people's prayer . Get well very soon Fabrice .

So is that gonna be the end of his playing career if/when he pulls through?

I can't see anyone advising him otherwise tbh.

Real shame and at such a young age.

I can't see he'll ever play again, just hope he pulls through. Very sad story and showed that, contrary to what Matt Busby may think, football isn't far more important than life and death. For the second time I can remember I have a lot of respect for Spurs fans (the first being when they faultlessly observed the minute's silence for Rocky). Must have been horrible to have been there and respect to them for showing such humanity. Football is very tribal and we all like to scream abuse at opposition players but when something like this happens it does make you stop and think, there are more important things.

Been checking the news all day. Hopefully he will make a recovery and enjoy many more years.

The conduct of Coyle adds another tick in the next Arsenal boss box for me.

I saw a v similar case last year. Older guy but it took them so long to get his heart working again he became essentially a vegetable. Watching his wife come in day after day washing and cleaning him holding onto the false hope that he'd come back normal is tragic. Sometimes I think it's better if they died then and there as horrible as it sounds.

Difficult to put thoughts into words. . . .never goes through your head that something like this could happen , although its rare it just show how fragile/precious life is. . . .so many ifs. . .if he hadnt been picked, the game had been played on a different day etc
Is there anything that could be done. . .rountine checks before games?

    Its absolutely tragic

Come on Gooners . This is about one of our boys . Even though he doesn't play for us anymore and he didn't choose to but he remains an Arsenal fan .Show some emotion at least. I'm ashamed to see Tottenham behaving in the right way for someone who has an Arsenal connection . Their fans , their players especially Defoe , Gallas and Van der vaat were fantastic . On our side just Djourou showed some concern plus a few tweets and an announcement from Arsenal website . For something which has shocked the world Arsenal should have been in front page to lead this event as it is about one of their boys . Someone they saw grow from the age of 11 . They saw his progress even though they decided not to give him a chance .It raised questions how players and fans are treated by Arsenal Football Club . Wenger should have said something to show he cares . Come Fabrice .Get a quick recovery . Get well soon .

    Who's not showing emotion?

And I'm sure Wenger will send his best wishes at the pre-match conference tomorrow. Do you have to be so melo dramatic about everything?
