As for Flamini, he is 27 and still at the peak of a football players career. He will be free to sign and wont have the dogs bollocks to ask for huge wages, since he was on the sidelines for Milan. I would sign a proven PL footballer at the peak age of his career for free over an unknown African playing in the french league.
It's not going to happen. Flamini has left all three of his clubs on free transfers and will probably ask to be paid higher wages than what he was on in Milan or similar. The fact that we got into a dispute about his wages in the first place and wouldn't offer what Milan were offering, I doubt we'll be throwing our hat in for this guy. Wenger thought he was underhanded in how he went about leaving us, similar to how the Marseille situation went down and he won't have this guy back in our squad and rightly so. He's not a French international, he's just spent the whole of last season out injured and he was a bit part player for Milan all these years. He'd have to take a pay cut if there was even a possibility of the move happening.
I'd rather take a chance on a unknown, strong African player from the French league. Wenger usually makes the right choice when it comes to African players.
