the argument about flamini recapturing his form is credible and not unrealistic. the thing about flamster was he didn't actually have an incredible ability on the ball or any real talent, he just had desire, heart and an engine on him. you can't technically 'lose' that, you either have it or you don't. injuries can slow you down and reduce those attributes, and it certainly looks like it has done at Milan for him, but it doesn't alter the mindset a player has of hunting the ball down and putting in hard tackles. that's naturally embedded in his mind. all he done in 07/08 was exactly that but he was just so bloody effective at it. for that reason i'd take him back because like henry, i think he'll just be happy he's been given another chance at the club so will try to impress. his injuries have been pretty serious but a different club may have a psychological effect and improve that (although with our medical team it could be a match made in heaven).

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has attracted the interest of Eskisehirspor, Goal.com has learned.

The Czech Republic international has just enjoyed one of his best seasons since joining the Gunners in 2006, and his fine form has not gone unnoticed elsewhere.

Eskisehirspor qualified for next season's edition of the Europa League following their fifth-place finish in the Turkish league, and club president Halil Unal is desperate to add a high-profile name to his squad to ensure the club will have a competitive team in Europe next term.

Unal recently travelled to Prague with a number of club officials to meet Rosicky's representatives, and to discuss a potential summer transfer.

However, the Eskisehir side face a tough task luring the 31-year-old attacking midfielder away from his current club.

The attacking midfielder signed a new deal with Arsenal only three months ago, and it is unclear as to whether Rosicky is interested in an exit from the Emirates.

Eskisehirspor defender Dede previously played with Rosicky at Borussia Dortmund, and has already informed his former team-mate about the club and city.

All I know is that flamini played pretty well for us and would be the best (only) dm that we have. He has proven he can do well at this level and while it didn't work out elsewhere, he can do a good job here. And while he obviously has no connection with arsenal or the fans, he also didn't screw the club over in any way. He fulfilled his contract, put in excellent, committed performances until the very last game and then moved elsewhere. It won't happen but its not the worst idea in the world. I really think we need a player like him even if it's not him. Ground needs covering in midfield. Too many free runners with no discipline. Arteta has discipline but he's not the quickest. Need some running power and energy in the middle along with arteta and song.

ARSENAL are in talks with Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia — but face stiff competition from Real Madrid.

The Ł8million-rated star has captained Anderlecht to a second straight Belgian league title and Real chief Jose Mourinho is a big admirer.

But Gunners boss Arsene Wenger hopes to land the 26-year-old, who has won six caps.

Biglia joined Anderlecht from Independiente in 2006, and is now eager to move to a top European club.

He said: “Real Madrid and Arsenal have both been in contact and I’ll wait to see what happens.

“I am still under contract with Anderlecht until 2015, but they know that I plan to leave.

“If a club offers the right price, Anderlecht will let me go.”

The former Liverpool target also interests Napoli and Fiorentina.
