Did he actually kick the line judge or was it accidental?

I assume with him being DQ'd, its the former

Well the advertising board surrounds the bottom of the chair, he didn't actually kick him but he did kick where the line judge is. The advertising boards there are only small and weak hence why he drew blood.

Nalbandian meant to kick box round linesman's feet but got the lino as well. No arguing with the decision - that is a 100% default
