Modric is a poor mans Hleb. Hleb did nothing Modric isnt doing right now. He rarely scored or assisted for us but im sure his stats would have been impressive in that list TT posted.

To be fair, I seem to remember Wenger being linked with Modric before Spuds picked him up (though can't seem to find source right now)...Modric at 26 is now looking the player he's been hyped to be - and I agree he has been a bit over-hyped...watching him now in the Euros and a few odd games for Spurs he looks like an excellent playmaker and probably hitting his peak right about now. If he moves to Real Madrid or Man U he will have a field day. Describing him as the 'poor man's Hleb' was pretty funny - there is not a player I dislike more (based on footballing ability) than Alexander Hleb - he drove me potty and I never want to see him near our club again.
