Looking at the signings, how many of you would agree that the 8-2 loss to Utd was probably one of the best things that happened to us in years?

I don't think we've ever just waited till the last minute to see what happens. I suspect its more to do with trying to get targets that have fallen through...we were apparently in for a whole number of people last season that didn't work out. Mata is an example of that, Cazorla another!
Also don't forget Squillaci was an experienced international when he joined us!

He also reckons Cazorla has introduced to Vermaelen.

I thought it was common knowledge that Vermaelen was our new captain? Unless RVP does a u-turn of course.
