Agony for British sailors Ian Percy and Andrew Simpson, who had led the Star class all week and only needed a top-six finish to take gold after seeing Sweden cross the line first. They were fifth with less than 100m to go and Fredrik Loof and Max Salminen had to ask the camera boat if they had triumphed overall - they had. Britain take silver, and Brazil finish in bronze.
