You have no idea what was said during RVP's first contract talks and you don't know if we're now signing players in reaction to RVP's statement and the letter written by Usmanov. Giroud was signed after the statement, but RVP had already told Wenger and Gazidis that he wouldn't sign a new deal before Giroud was signed.

That was the manager's perogative. By that logic, RVP should actually play for free let alone worry about playing in a winning side. If Wenger could have sold him and wanted to sell him he would have. He sold Vieira, Henry, Adebayor etc just like that.

well you just linked me a site saying we had signed giroud before the statement
