I don't think the London sites will quite suffer the same fate, a few venues were temporary anyway and will be taken down and others like the Excel and O2 were already existing. I'm sure the the Velodrome and Aquatics Centre will get plenty of use as well.

Apparently the concept of legacy is something only London has really thought of, so I'm sure they've planned everything to finest detail as to what happens next.

Yeah. The hockey arena looked like it might fall down at any point so that's clearly temporary.
There does seem to be more of a plan for the whole area though.
