That's is the question. Saying that its not only the defence who have defended well its been the team as a whole.

So yeah Bould has done what rice could not do and got he team defending as a unit. its good to know we have replacements for the defence if 1st choice's get injured, maybe Lb is a concern though.

It's not the fact he doesn't play for a top club, it's the fact I've seen him and never been impressed, some of the other players we've been linked with are more promising (even this Santos bloke) but this guy gets a big thumbs down from me.

Delighted with this signing. Brilliant CB whenever I've seen him and has performed at the highest level where he was awesome at the last 2 World Cups.

I can't understand the instant dismissal of an experienced tactically aware international defender who is an automatic choice in the German national team. This is IMHO the type of signing we have been crying out for! My only complaint is that this should have been done pretty much as soon as the transfer window opened.

I still don't think he's world class. He's done very well this season, definitely, but I wouldn't put him in the same bracket as Kompany, Vidic etc.
