Sagna > Jenkinson
Sagna > Jenkinson
Arsene Wenger, the only football manager that got paid 8 million quid to do nothing but sit on his arse..
Yep.
I love GHELkers to bits (little bit homo) but Sagan is the best right-back in the league.
Wheelchair came off on 74 minutes, legs intact I think.
Either Sagan or GHELkinson can play and I won't be too displeased either way.
Wenget.![]()
Jenks has improved no end from the car crash of last season but Sajma walks in easily
Jenks is good cover
It's good how the u-21 team's being used now. Santos and Coquelin got games too. In previous years you'd see these fringe squad members go weeks without playing any football when fit. I guess one of Fabianski and Mannone would be playing too but for injury. Can put out a very good team alongside Segrio Gnabbers and the others. Sagna back in when fit for sure.
All of the above are quite harsh on Jenkinson imo. Hasn't done much wrong over the last few weeks and is far better going forward than Sagna. MOTM in a couple of our games as well.
He should keep his place until he does something to show he doesn't deserve it.
The King Is Back.
I agree.
If Wenger makes the change, plays Sagna and he screws up, Wenger will get panned as some kind of fool.
Come to think of it, he'll get panned as soon as Jenkinson makes a mistake.
I'm happy whoever plays RB, but it would be a bit harsh yet not entirely incomprehensible if Jenko made way for Sagna.
I think we have a higher chance of winning if Sagna plays because he's just a better defender. But I enjoy watching Jenkinson in the team more. Like a father proud of his son's artwork from school that's a little bit shit but still has to go on the fridge.
GHELkinson in the PL, for his engery and GHEL qualities.
Sagan can stick to the +1 CL games.
GHELkinson has done little wrong defensively. Even last season, when he was supposedly the worst player ever after the whole patchwork team had a mare at Old Trafford, he did little wrong in the games he played. He looked technically deficient, yes, but not defensively. It's like the Mertesacker thing; a couple of poor moments in a big game and suddenly they did everything wrong and every performance they gave was dreadful. The reality was that both were generally solid, if not fully functioning Arsenal players yet.
GHELkers now looks comfortable on the ball and composed in advanced positions. Much like dropping Mertesacker last week proved destabilising to the defence, there's no reason to drop GHELko. Sagan will eventually get enough games considering injuries are inevitable. The GHELkster has been the most consistent player in the team this season. He's fully earned his starting spot. It's for Sagan to now show why he's the better full-back.
It's a nice issue to have but I don't think there's any doubt Wenget will play Sagan once he is 100% fit.
