Just as the real soldier will rush over the top and into the machine guns when the whistle blows. Blind loyalty is fun provided some clever bloke doesn't find a way to milk it. The pessimism here is mostly down to the total lack of trust people have in this team. And that has come about through bitter experience. So there's a gallows humour in play. Everyone will be behind the team tomorrow though (except for Joker) hoping we can somehow pull this one out and get one over on the traitor scum who ran away.

The fact is that we're winning this 0-2. An Anfield-esque performance, with a dominant midfield display and Sagan completely nullifying Jermaine Jackson. Even the officials conspiring to book us every time we're in a 5-mile radius of a United player and sending Cazorla off for smiling devilishly at his Spanish compatriot De Gea won't affect the result.

All this is of course dependant on Andreson not playing. He is terrible and will undoubtedly take up Park and O'Shea's mantle of killing us despite being completely woeful.
