Does Vito Manone get the credit he deserves ?

Vito Manone has been outstanding for us in this absence of fans favorite Scesny whose mistakes are overlooked and easily forgiven and forgot by most people .
My aim is not to draw a comparison between the two keepers but to outline the form and the consistency of the former .
Vito has been just fantastic : good positioning , awareness and has pulled up some unbelievable saves in very hard situations . Most of goals he concedes hare down to our bad defending system .
Vito deserves some credit and will sure push and bring the best out of Wokash our no 1 ATM . Any comment ?

Vito has done well, and if this Pushes Ches to be a better keeper the so be it. Like you say, Wokash is our no 1, but i think he has to earn his spot back and prove why he is.

    my take on the match.

we did well imo, the last few games we have been awful, yet yesterday we seemed a lot better then previous games. yes we gave away a two goal lead but ill take a point there all day long.

thought the first half was brilliant, we seemed up for it, and a lot more settled then i have seen us for a while but just like the reading game, the goal at half time switched the momentum. we had a good chance i think to make it 3-0 (cant remember who it was) and we have to take those chances.

the second goal showed why vermaelen cant play at left back for me, hes a central defender and it showed, we need to play a full back there.
we had a chance to win it, theo has to take those chances, that really was a bad miss from a man demanding to play and play as a striker.
i have no idea what planet the ref was one, i have never seen us be allowed to play on while a player is injured then when we through on goal, stop the game. we might not have scored but that took away a golden opportunity.

overall im happy with the point, a lot of posistives from that match, esp as it is a hard match to go, however lots of improvement still to be made. but its a step in the right direction of recent weeks

Thought Podolski was going to get himself sent off with the way he behaved after the ref stopped play.

it was stupid to react like that in hindsight because he could have been sent off, however the ref stopped play at a completely stupid point. it was a ridiculous decision

I think the reason he stopped it was because he wasn't confident in his assistant. You have to be able to tell if Podolski was really onside or whether he was onside only because the player who was down was playing him on. Unfortunate because I think there was a fair chance we'd have converted that.

Think it was a fair decision, frustrating but fair. I know I'd be annoyed if we conceded a goal with a player down in a heap unable to continue. The guy did have to go off so at least it wasn't the usual pretend to be hurt and bring the physio on for effect then carry on.

Dunno. He fell over his own feet though. I thought it was silly stopping it. He was obviously hurt but I thought these days refs were supposed to play on unless it's a head injury.

I thought we looked pretty cueless throughout the match and scored very much against the run of play. They are a good team, but any team that cannot defend a 2-0 lead more convincingly will never win anything.
